DATE:                         October 15-16, 2005     Conventional Prone Regional, 320 shot

 

LOCATION:               Capital City Gun Club range is located 10 miles west of Topeka Kansas near I-70. At I-70 and West Union Road, go North ˝ mile to NW 4th Street. Then East ˝ mile to the range gate on the North side of the road. A map is provided at www.capitalcitygunclub.com/where.htm

 

COMPETITION OPEN TO: All individual NRA members or juniors who are members of an NRA affiliated club.

                                    Competitors MUST be NRA members. (Juniors may be members of an NRA affiliated club).

                                   

ENTRY FEE:               Package entry fee is $40.00 for adults, $30.00 juniors. Package is for both days.

                                    This includes a $9.00 per competitor NRA fee.

 

ENTRIES CLOSE:      Entries will be allowed until 8:30 AM the day of competition.

There will be one relay of no more than 30 competitors each day.

 

FIRING STARTS:       9:00 AM the day of competition.

 

RULES:                       Current NRA rules shall govern.

                                    Rule 5.6 will be enforced.

NRA classification will be used.

Expanded classification for juniors. (19.4.1)

Challenge fee is $1.00 and jury referee system will be used.

Competitors will hang their own targets. Targets will NOT be inverted (Rule 19.5).

 

MATCH COURSE:     Saturday October 16 2003.

Match 1: 40 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-23 target. Metallic Sight

                                    Match 2: 40 shots at 100 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-25 target. Metallic Sight

                                    Match 3: Dewar Course.

   20 shots at 100 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots. A-25 target. Metallic Sight

   20 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots. A-23 target. Metallic Sight

                                    Match 4: 40 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-27 target. Metallic Sight

                                    Match 5: Regional Metallic Sight Championship.

   Aggregate of matches 1,2,3,4. (1600 points) This is not a fired match.

                                    Match 6: 40 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-23 target. Any Sight

                                    Match 7: 40 shots at 100 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-25 target. Any Sight

                                    Match 8: Dewar Course.

   20 shots at 100 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots. A-25 target. Any Sight

   20 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots. A-23 target. Any Sight

                                    Match 9: 40 shots at 50 yards. 20 minutes for 20 shots (X2). A-27 target. Any Sight

                                    Match 10: Regional Any Sight Championship.

     Aggregate of matches 6,7,8,9. (1600 points) This is not a fired match.

                                    Match 11: Regional Championship-Grand Aggregate.

     Aggregate of matches 5 and 10. (3200 points) This is not a fired match.

 

AWARDS:                   Trophy to Match Winner in match 5.  Regional Metallic Sight Champion.

Trophy to Match Winner in match 10. Regional Any Sight Champion.

                                    Medals or cash to top 3 overall finishers in Match 11, Gold for 1st, Silver for 2nd and Bronze for 3rd (depending on number of entries).

Special award to State Champion. State Champion must be Kansas resident.

                                    Awards to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in MA, EX, SS, MK, JR, IJ, SJ.

 

                                    Camp Perry Credit.

                                    The highest shooter in each class (providing there are a minimum of 5 shooters in that classification) will receive a credit ($50.00 for Prone, $$20.00 for 3-Position) toward entry fees to Camp Perry for this discipline (either prone or 3-position). The credit is valid for 13 months and NOT TRANSFERABLE. An individual may not win more than five credits for prone or five credits for 3-position within a “Camp Perry year”, but cannot exceed entry fees.

                                    A total of only 4 credits will be given. A credit will be given to the highest Master, Expert, Sharpshooter and Marksman (min. 5 competitors each) without regard to category (no combining of classes). The overall winner of the regional will win a certificate regardless the number of competitors in his/her class if not in a class with 5 shooters in it.

                                               

GENERAL INFORMATION:

                                    Overnight camping is available at the range the night before the match. Water and electricity available. Contact Tim Morrissey for more information and entry to range.
